  • Using sound to heal ourselves has been around for centuries; from ancient drumming to listening to music, we’ve been using the power of sound and vibration to shift energies in our bodies and feel alive.

Today, we are connected to our phones, and our busy schedules run our lives, and it’s easy to numb ourselves as we tread life’s conveyor belt as the weeks fly by.

There’s never been a more critical time to connect with our bodies, to feel sound vibrate through us, and to feel stillness.

For some, sound can be an excellent way to relax and unwind after a busy day.

For others, sound can help still your mind and deeply connect with your body, giving you the power to unlock unseen patterns and embrace new neural pathways without having to articulate or explain.

  • We usually have no more than 20 people in our group sound sessions online.

  • Bring a yoga mat, blanket, socks, cushions, or pillows. We want you to be warm and cosy, so bring as much as you want to be comfortable lying on the floor.

If you prefer to sit on a chair, lie on your sofa or even your bed, you are invited to be in a place you feel comfortable lying down for 30 to 45 minutes.

As you are in your home, you have the choice where you want to be.

  • Wear loose, comfortable clothing; leggings, joggers or even pyjamas :)

We also recommend removing any necklaces or bracelets, Apple watches, or other Bluetooth tracking devices and avoiding belts if possible.

  • After a warm welcome from Karen, we will start with a gentle meditation to relax you into the session, and then you'll hear me play my bowls.

We finish with a wake-up session and a short chat back in front of your camera.

You may be energised after the session, but usually you will feel relaxed and chilled. Please be gentle with yourself for the rest of your evening, drink water, avoid heavy machinery and look after yourself as if you've had a deep tissue massage.

  • We have a strict no-latecomers policy to avoid disturbing others once we have begun the initial mediation. This means that if you arrive after we've started, we unfortunately can't let you in.

This is why we encourage you to gather your blankets, headphones and anything else you may need for the session at least 10 minutes before we start.

  • if anyone attending the session experiences any technical issues such as wifi dropping or running out battery charge, we've got you covered. We start recording once everyone's cameras are switched off and then stop before we come back for the end of the session.

This way we can keep the time sacred for those who attend the class, which also creates a safe space for questions and discussions at the end of the session.

  • No, if you prefer not to but Karen would welcome and encourage you to start the session with your cameras switch on as it helps her connect with you on a deeper level before we move to the mediation and sound healing session.

And as we are not recording this part of the session, it really doesn't matter what you look like so no need to style your hair or have a fresh face of make-up ... this is a relaxation and replenishment session, after all :)

  • Yes. To get the best immersive sound experience, we recommend using a pair of comfy headphones, rather than the sound from your laptop or phone speakers.

If you fancy treating yourself, sleep headphones are rather lovely. Karen has some from SnoozeBand, which she loves and weren't expensive, but there are plenty of options out there, depending on your budget.

  • No, not at all. If you are sleepy after the sound healing session and don't have anything to share or have questions for Karen, you are welcome to slip away.

However, if you have a question for Karen, find something has awaken within you during the sound healing or you want to ask Karen about anything you experienced, stay on and join the conversation.

It's a very relaxed and informal part of the session and as we don't record these sessions, you will hopefully find this a juicy space for you to explore any questions you may have.

  • You will be able to cancel your ticket within before 48 hours of the class, and all tickets are be non-refundable within 48 hours. However, if you are unable to attend the class for any reason you may email us at karen@serotina.co.uk to request a transfer of your ticket to either a future Event or a substitute to attend the Event on your behalf, however this can not be guaranteed and is always subject to availability.

  • Yes, we would be delighted for you to bring a friend and join this class together in the same room.

However, please respect that each ticket is for one person, rather than access to the session.

Please purchase a ticket for each of you to be able to join the class. Thank you.
